Jeff Slate joins Mark Plati and Tony Visconti at events at New York's David Bowie #Bowie75 Pop-Up Store

On Saturday, January 8th, on what would have been David Bowie's 7th birthday, Jeff Slate will interview producer Mark Plati at the Bowie75 pop-up store in New York City's SoHo about the newly released TOY:BOX, David Bowie's "lost" album recorded in the summer of 2000.

More details can be found at the official Bowie75 website. And read Jeff's interview with Mark and guitarist Earl Slick in the January cover story for Rock Cellar Magazine.

And on Wednesday, January 12th, Jeff will join the legendary producer Tony Visconti for a "fireside chat" at the Bowie75 pop-up store about his work remixing Bowie's catalog in 360 Reality Audio for Sony in a private event for the media.

Here's more information, below, and watch for press reports after the event.

Please join us as we celebrate David Bowie's 75th birthday at an in-person event with his lifelong producer, Tony Visconti. Legendary producer, Tony Visconti, is the mind behind the immersive music experience at Bowie 75, featuring a Sony 360 Reality Audio studio and additional mobile listening kiosks that customize each user's listening experience based on ear mapping technology.

Taking place mere steps away from the iconic artist's former NYC apartment at the Bowie 75 pop-up store, the night will include signature cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, spatial audio listening sessions in the Sony 360 Reality Audio studio, and a fireside chat and Q&A with Tony Visconti.

"Perhaps the most impressive thing created as part of Bowie 75, though, is the black tent at the back of the space, inside of which is an array of speakers and some powerful technology in the form of Sony's 360 Reality Audio. Step inside the tent, sit down on the bench in the center of the room, and you'll likely have the kind of listening experience you've never had before, as instruments and voices and ethereal sounds emerge from the space all around you. Having heard "Space Oddity" some 50 million times over the course of my life, I heard it here anew, with entire pieces of the composition revealed to me for the first time." - VOGUE
