Jeff Slate joined Earl Slick, Mike Garson, Mark Plati, Gerry Leonard and Carmine Rojas -- all alums of David Bowie's touring and recording bands -- for the New York City stop of their current Celebrating David Bowie concert tour at Iriving Plaza last night.
Jeff sang background vocals on the seminal Bowie songs "Young Americans," "Stay," "Ziggy Stardust," "Suffragette City," "All The Young Dudes" and the epic finale, "Heroes."
The 2 1/2 hour show was a mesmerizing celebration of David Bowie's storied catalog, and was a testament to both his band's prowess as players, even without their fallen leader, and the timeless nature of Bowie's songs.
